{I just started my journey through this chapter in my life. I was and still am totally unsure of how to maneuver through my new reality but I saw the website for Beyond Basic Needs and visited it to see what insight I could get . Well they provided me with samples of different things to cope with the nausea and keeping hydrated , along with a pillow for my seatbelt to cushion where surgery and port are. I appreciate the donors and the people who put this group together. In a time that women are unsure of basically everything it is awesome that there are such caring individuals out there to help . Thank you for helping me navigate through this you are angels on earth.

Loved my care package. So many useful and helpful gifts that I brought with me to the hospital for my surgery. Every time I use something from the care package, I smile because it reminds me there are still good people doing good things in the world.

I am still in active treatment, but I already feel so changed, and you’re right, there isn’t going back. Those words were impactful. I took a screenshot of the blog Cancer Warrior! That is so very true! I really like redefining the language, and warrior encompasses all Cancer fighters. Thank you for the great blogs. They did come at a time when I was feeling despondent and were very helpful.

My daughter is 18 years old. She has been diagnosed with stage 4 cancer. She is newly diagnosed and is overwhelmed by chemo and targeted therapy, then she will have radiation and surgery. The treatment is so aggressive and hard on her. Her world has been flipped upside down. A few weeks ago, she had two credits left to graduate.
