Chemo Care Kit Build Day
2 Hours. 1,000 Chemo Care Kits. Local Impact.
In just 2 hours, your group can bring comfort, dignity, and hope to 1,000 local cancer patients.
We’ll guide you every step of the way.
A Hands-On Way to Make a Difference
This is more than an event — it’s a chance to come together, connect, and create something that truly matters.
Your group spends two hours packing chemo care kits, but the impact will be felt long after your Build Day is over.
We supply the kit contents order list, provide clear instructions (and why each component is important), and help you connect with a local cancer center if you don’t already have one in mind.

Who Can Host a Build Day?
Schools – Student councils, sports teams, honor societies, and service clubs.
Faith Communities – Churches, synagogues, mosques, and interfaith groups.
Workplaces – Corporate volunteer days and team-building events.
Families & Friends – Milestone celebrations, reunions, or memorial projects.
Service Organizations – Rotary, Lions, Scouts, and other civic groups.
No matter your size or setting, a Chemo Care Build Day unites people in a shared mission of kindness.
What’s Inside Each Chemo Care Kit
Comfort essentials like cozy socks, lip balm, hand cream, ginger chews, eye masks, journals, and more—each selected to ease common side effects and offer warmth during treatment.
A soft, seat‑belt‑attached Port Pillow, to cushion the chemo port and protect against discomfort during car rides.

How It Works
Fundraising Only
Each kit costs $20, which includes all the comfort items, our signature port pillow, and shipping directly to the cancer center of your choice anywhere in the U.S.
Think of it as inviting your community to join you in making a difference. Every dollar raised has a direct, tangible outcome: a kit in the hands of someone going through chemotherapy. We’ve seen students, families, neighborhoods, schools, and organizations rally together, turning fundraising into a celebration of generosity.
We’ll make it simple by creating a custom fundraising page for your project that you can share with family, friends, and your community. We need a 30-day window from when fundraising ends until the kits are delivered.
You’ll also receive creative fundraising ideas and tools to help you reach your goal.
Simply fill in the form below, and we’ll help you get started.
Fundraising + Chemo Care Kit Build Day Activity
Host a Build Day to assemble complete chemo care kits with friends and family.
1. Fund the Kit Contents
We will make it simple to start raising funds by creating a custom fundraising page that you can share with family, friends, and your community.
Each kit costs approximately $10 when ordering for a standard Build Day of 250 kits ($2,540).
We’ll share easy, creative fundraising ideas to help you reach your goal — whether you’re funding 100 kits or 1,000.
Larger Build Days benefit from bulk purchasing, which lowers the per-kit cost:
100 Kits $11.77 each ($1,178)
250 Kits $10.16 each ($2,540)
500 Kits $9.40 each ($4,700)
1,000 Kits $9.27 each ($9,266)
2. Find a Port Pillow Maker
A port pillow is a small cushion designed to shield the chemo port from irritation or pressure caused by a car’s seat belt. Ports, surgically placed under the skin near the chest, make chemotherapy easier to administer but can be sensitive and painful if bumped.
The port pillow attaches to the seat belt with Velcro, forming a soft barrier that makes every car ride—whether to treatment, the doctor, or a simple outing—more comfortable.
If you have a volunteer who wants to make port pillows locally, we’ll provide sewing patterns and instructions.
If not, we’ll connect you with our network of makers.
3. Receive Materials before Build Day
Once your fundraiser is complete, we will order and ship all of the materials to your chosen location.
4. Host Your 2-Hour Build Day
Gather together and pack the kits. Our step-by-step guide ensures everyone — from kids to grandparents — can help.
5. Deliver Locally
Drop the kits at your local cancer center (or we can help coordinate delivery) and receive photos and thank-yous showing the difference you made.
Fill out the form below to get started. Our team will be in touch and help you coordinate the project.
